Bellbidgee Vision and Ethics

Bellbidgee Breeding Philosophy

The health and wellbeing of my Labradors and every puppy I produce are always my highest priorities. I breed only carefully planned litters using thoughtfully selected sires that are Main Registered, fully pedigreed, hip and elbow scored, DNA tested and genetically profiled.

Every puppy is precious, and I take my responsibility for their health, development and future seriously. For this reason, Bellbidgee puppies are available only to carefully selected and approved homes.

The companionship my Labradors bring to my life motivates everything I do. It gives me great joy to share them with others through community meet-and-greets, my Facebook page and the ethical breeding of carefully planned litters.

My goal is to breed healthy, sound and well-tempered Labradors that are true to the official Labrador Retriever Breed Standard.

Registration and Responsible Breeding

I am a registered breeder with Dogs NSW, the state controlling body affiliated with the Australian National Kennel Council. I am also a member of the Labrador Retriever Club of Victoria and the Labrador Retriever Club of NSW.

All Bellbidgee breeding Labradors:

  • Are registered on the ANKC Main Register
  • Have a verified pedigree
  • Are hip and elbow scored
  • Are DNA tested and genetically profiled
  • Complete appropriate breed-specific health testing

As a registered breeder, I comply with the Dogs NSW Code of Practice, relevant NSW legislation and the national standards for responsible dog ownership and breeding.

I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge of Labrador history, genetics, bloodlines, structure, temperament and health. My Labradors are valued members of my family. They are deeply loved, carefully raised and provided with the highest possible standard of care and quality of life.

Carefully Planned Litters

Every breeding is planned with the aim of improving and preserving the Labrador Retriever. Dogs and bitches are selected because they:

  • Meet the Labrador Retriever Breed Standard
  • Are outstanding representatives of the breed
  • Have sound structure, correct breed type and balanced movement
  • Display the genuine Labrador temperament and an excellent personality
  • Have completed appropriate health testing and genetic clearances
  • Are physically and temperamentally suitable for breeding

At Bellbidgee Labradors, breeding is never simply about producing puppies. It is about protecting the future of the breed and raising healthy, well-adjusted Labradors that can become treasured companions.
